What should I do if I have to cancel at the last minute?

Life happens. There may come a time when something unexpected happens and you cannot make your Dineships meetup. The best thing to do is communicate and let your Dineship know right away. Apologize for any inconvenience, and offer to reschedule if possible!

What should I do if my Dineships is running late?

Wait outside of the restaurant for your Dineship so that the two of you can be seated together. You can designate a grace period for waiting, maybe 10-15 minutes. If it has been more than 15 minutes without contact from your Dineship, send them a message to confirm they still plan on showing up.

Who should pay for the bill?

Split the bill! Neither person should feel obligated to pay for the other. Splitting the bill based on the items each person got is an easy way to avoid any awkwardness or uncertainty.

What should I do if my Dineships meet-up is going poorly?

The great thing about a Dineships meet-up is that it’s not a long term commitment. People don’t always click, and that’s okay! Finish your meal and politely part ways. However, if you feel unsafe or uncomfortable, do what you feel is best for your safety. If that means ending the meet-up early, then do so. Make sure to always report any incidents on the Dineships app.

Are there age restrictions for the Dineships app?

Yes, you must be 18 years or older to use the Dineships app.

Does Dineships charge a fee to book through the app?

No! Dineships is a completely free app, with no unexpected charges!

What do I do if I experience harassment from my Dineship?

If you experience harassment during your Dineships meetup, don’t hesitate to do something about it! You can report a user by going to their profile and clicking the three navigation dots on the top right corner of the screen. You may also block a user in the same location.

Can I advertise my restaurant on Dineships?

Not yet! We are working on updating Dineships to accommodate sponsored and promoted restaurants. Until then, hang tight.
